The cover page is the first screen of a course. It introduces the course before a learner begins, with the course title, a short description, a cover image, and a table of contents. On a wide screen, the details sit on the left and the cover image fills the right.
Learners reach the cover page whenever they open a shared course. Select Begin to start the first lesson.
The left side of the cover page shows:
• The course title.
• The author, shown as Created by and the author's name, when one is set.
• A short description of the course.
• The time to complete, when it is turned on.
• A Begin button that opens the first lesson.
A learner who has already started the course sees Continue and Start Over instead, along with a progress bar and the date they last viewed the course. If the course is password protected, the learner enters the password before continuing.
The cover image fills the right side of the cover page on tablets and desktops. On phones, it appears above the course details.

The table of contents lists every lesson in the course on a frosted-glass panel over the cover image. Each row shows a number, the lesson title, and a metric on the right:
• Content lessons show an estimated reading time, for example 5 min.
• Exams show the number of questions instead, for example 10 questions.
Lessons are numbered continuously from 01, across the whole course. Only visible lessons appear, so anything hidden in the editor is left out.
If the course is organized into modules, lessons are grouped under module headings that a learner can expand or collapse. The header shows the total time to complete next to a clock, and a learner can collapse the whole list. A long list scrolls within the panel.
In the editor, select the cover page at the top of the sidebar (it shows a 0 badge). From there you can:
• Title and description: select the text and type.
• Author: select Add author, then type the name.
• Logo: select Add logo or Edit logo to open the course theme, where the logo, colors, and fonts are set.
• Cover image: use Replace image or Remove image at the top right of the image.
• Table of Contents: turn the table of contents on or off.
• Time to complete: show or hide reading times and the total time.
